Dodging tied to framerate
So I was browsing the forums on this game and read a comment which someone mentioned the amount of iframes you have is tied to the framerate.
Curious, I lowered my FPS to 30 frames and sure enough, it does appear the iframes are tied to the framerate. Not only was I now dodging every attack fairly consistently but the game has also become immensely easier.
I've been very excited for lies of P since it was just screenshots posted on Steam but this is dumb as hell. Some areas of this game need a mechanical polish.

You completely missed the point of his post, this is a bug.

Can you tell if it also affects the perfect block timing?

Again, this has nothing to do with ♥♥♥♥ waving about being able to dodge at 144hz, they're pointing out a bug that should really be addressed. I hope this helps.

How is it this difficult for you to comprehend the whole point of the topic even after reading Sire's message?

Not necessarily, it may just be an outdated design as Asian developers tend to be a bit behind in terms of technological advances.

Frame-dependent game mechanics used to be the norm, but today Western developers have almost completely moved away from it (maybe with the exception of Bethesda...).

It's hard to tell. There being more frames for dodging is obvious but it may just be easier to perfect parry because the game is running slower.

Wait, this is a thing? I was wondering why nearly none of my dodges during the first boss battle were doing anything.

I tried it last night and it absolutely is a thing. If there's an enemy you can think of that clips you mid dodge when you feel you should've been clear, go and give it a try. You'll see the difference immediately.

Pretty annoying, really.

Hey, smooth brain. How exactly do you think bugs get reported? Staying silent?

I tried it at 30, 60 and ~150 fps, and I noticed no difference in either dodge or parry frames. I tested it against the sword guys. Parrying times were exactly the same. Dodge also seemed to be the same. I wouldn't be able to notice a 1 or 2 frames difference, cause the delay makes it hard, but if it's tied to frame rate, I would expect the difference to be more significant between 30 and 150 fps.

The dodge is just atrocious. It's laggy and doesn't give you the feeling that you are in control. The latter is made worse by the fact that you linger on the ground for way too long.

LOL! I have 144Hz screen and with DLSS in 1440p my RTX 3070 was doing good, but I lowered to 120fps as to use less GPU power (about 70-80%) but I think I will lower it to 60fps!!! 30fps are UNfuc**ngplayable for me! My eyes starts flickering below 60fps :P
