So is the balanced approach better later in end game when you reach the hard and soft cap on motivity and technique? for example if i have a handle that has C both in tevhnoque and motivity the result is better if i had B or A in technique and D or no scaling in motivity. should i just favor one or other or continue with balanced approach now when those attributes do not give that much anymore if i level them up?

what i would recommend is a relatively fast weapon if you are new, so technique will be better. Late game bosses don't give many openings for the slower weapons and it will result in more attempts if you don't know these openings by heart.

Yeah, once you reach that point keeping your Motivity and Technique as balanced as possible is the optimal route.

Ng+ is pretty underwhelming honestly.

One of the few things I don't like about the game. Builds are basically meaningless in late game because weapons do more damage if your stats are balanced, regardless of the scaling on the weapon.

end game its better to go quality. Instead of 60-80 tech, we go 30-40 on tech and motivity. Then balance the scaling w the right cranks. Even w high tech scaling, the dmg boost of tech starts to wane, w 33? being sort of a sweet spot. You get higher base attack if you invest in the best of tech and motivity.

If we talk about deep endgame (ng++ and beyond) where you got technique, motivity and arcane to 100 than a balance crank is all you need

is it possible to respec in this game? I dumped into technique pretty heavily.

Yep. The Saintess Statue at the exhibition hall, or the Golden Fruit Tree.
