I've only played DS3 and Elden Ring but Lies of P was my favorite of those. I really like the combat system. I think just having perfect block as a more skillful and rewarding option than only dodging by itself makes it more interesting. Also a bit of quality of life stuff compared to souls games that makes the game feel better, like respawns right outside of boss rooms and easier respecing along with a lot of other stuff.
I ended up buying it on steam. Can't wait for the DLC and eventual sequel.
Well dark souls games tend to have those japanese type of stories, all twisted and hard to discern, maybe lies of p with a western type "on your face" explanation story is more of his thing, mine too.
I mean if you need a youtube channel of info on the game story that is obscure as they come hehehe.
Oh and OP its worthy, game is great, but it takes a little to get used to all the gimmicks and some enemies are worse than bosses sometimes hehehe.
But in general, the combat feels superior to that of Bloodborne. The one downside is that there aren't enough guns (you get one grenade launcher and three elemental sprayers). But hey, maybe the DLC will fix that.
