What??? No save system in tutorial
bought this last night on PS5. but was going to pick it up on pc in a sale...

Ive read on reddit that the tutorial is a huge 1 hr long with 2 bosses and theres no save system.. Stargazer.. in the tutorial .. and if... ahem.. When i die, i have to kill the same mobs over and over and over.. while starting from the same train platform Every time... Im having issues

... and i cant save anywhere.. Unlike ER, the tutorial was about 10 mins, with a grace point at the top of the lift..

Is this right

The game is beautiful and good fun... but lim osing patience

That's not quite right at all. Though the first miniboss (police puppet) in the train station doesn't have a stargazer before it. There's a one way door instead which leads right from the beginning to it's arena. After that you get out of the train station where there is a... stargazer checkpoint. Fast forward to the actual boss at the end and there's another stargazer located right next to his arena as well. After him, the tutorial is basically done with a small run and a little bit of loot. The game is full of stargazers and unlockable shortcuts to ease run backs.

That sounds more like it.. Thanks..

I dont like "easy" games.. but there is a limit. i have died a few times from the police puppet boss, but.. thats half the fun of a souls-like .. learning his move / skill set .. and dont panic button mash..

Are the kb&m controls responsive and nice to use.. can you rebond them...

The controller is ok, but it can be a bit clunky at times..

Thanks :)

The shortcuts in this game are quite frequent while the stargazer (aka bonfires) are far less frequent compared to some of FROM's games. Unfortunately, the shortcut and level design is a bit... rather bad (often they're literally pointless or have multiple shortcuts right next to each other to the same place...), but this wont be too big of an issue just an annoyance. You will shift between stargazers as you unlock shortcuts per convenience to whatever area you are exploring quite a bit.

The legion arm with the wire can let you pull yourself to enemies (at higher elevations/routes) which can be a nice shortcut at times for getting back to where you were going just a hint. Note the cathedral's first major area with the acid and clock tower parts is quite lengthy so I suggest when you get to it (pretty early in) to take the first time through quite carefully to avoid doing it a second time so you don't get annoyed.
