The point of assembling weapons is to mix-and-match different movesets with different speeds and ranges, as well as gaining different special abilities. The basic Puppet Sabre is certainly a decent weapon, but there are somewhat better and much more interesting options out there.
But yeah. I mean? There's nothing wrong with vanilla ice cream or plain cheese pizza. Some people like that. I do. I just also like variety. But if you have fun with just the regular old puppet saber, then have fun. Don't let 'basic ♥♥♥♥♥' be an insult if that's what you prefer.
Found the wrench, great damage output, but move set it awfully slow, and I can't quite time my attack right. Most guide tells to use the police baton handle as it have better scaling with strength, but the move set still feels stiff.
Few experiments later, I got the bramble sword handle, paired with with big wrench. The charged R2 attack have great distance and it can one shot or simply stagger most enemies. Then tune the handle with B scaling for motivity for more damage.
