In this game it's important to get the flow of the fight. If you can't get the timings for the perfect guard right, then use weapons with high guard instead. Use charge attacks only when necessary and know the timings. After FromSoft games it takes some time to get used to, but by the end of the game you will be enjoying the combat.
Dragon blade's strong attack is true parry, it doesnt just perfect blocks, it also strikes back. So ofc its harder to use and should not be spammed. Use it againts predictable attacks with timings you already know.
Also its not even the main gimmick of this sword. The main gimmick of dragon sword moveset is ability to move between normal attacks. Effectively circling around.
Wtf does "virgin" have to do with anything ?
TDS is a fantastic "fast" weapon, with a heavy charged parry that - if you bother to master it - will delete everything on your way. It parries + hits back + cancel enemies' combos.
But you have to learn to use it. Read: fight and die multiple times.
Why are you even still playing this game ? Go play something else.
But that's how you use this sword. Learn enemies' patterns -> learn when to use TDS.
Why would anyone use TDS and not do that ?
Because TDS heavily relies on this specific mechanic. It's great in hands of skilled player. It's worse than most of other weapons in hands of the average player.
You don't need ongbal level skill to use tds. There's a huge difference between a no damage, no leveling run and simply learning to use the weapon. Healing, leveling and consumables give you a huge margin for error.
You need nothing more that a competent player willing to experiment and learn.
And Ongbal didn't fart out those videos effortlessly on the 1st attempt. The "kill yourself" item is on his bottom belt for a reason.
How about you post your own video of beating the boss with TDS before commenting any further?
Do you find it as some sort of unsurmountable difficulty to beat a boss in this game with TDS (or anything else) that you need a video proving it ? You can watch quite a few streams with people doing it on a regular basis.
So? Will we see you beating ANY boss with TDS? Or are you going to keep this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up for much longer?
