The default handle for that with an Advance Crank handle alter on my Advance build got me through most of NG+. I found it best default setup and with a +10 upgrade it was staggering and demolishing puppets.
Look for a slashing handle with scalings that fit your build.
Pure stick: you have the incredible Electric Blitz buff AND an easy-to-use Fable Art attack that staggers.
Stick head+chainsaw handle: Endure is an incredibly useful, cheap defensive Fable Art. Since the charged heavy is easy to land, you don't necessarily miss the Fable Art attack, but you DO end up having trouble spending Fable unless you go out of your way to spam Endure literally every time you see a red attack. So I only like this combination against enemies with very confusing attack patterns.
If you want a breakdown, here's how it works.
Each weapon has 2 parts, a Blade and a Handle. A Blade has a base damage that increases every time you upgrade the weapon using Moonstones. A Handle has scaling damage that comes from different stats. So putting a Blade on a different Handle will change how much damage the Blade does, and which stats give you that damage.
Increasing Motivity, Technique or Advance will increase the effectiveness of any Handle that scales with those stats. Scaling comes in letter grades, going up alphabetically with D being the lowest and S being the highest (S comes after A).
So say a weapon has D Scaling in Motivity and B Scaling in Technique. That means you'll get a small amount of damage from Motivity but a larger amount of damage from Technique. You can use Cranks to alter this scaling. So if you have lots of Motivity and want to use a more Technique-scaling weapon, you can use a Motivity Crank on the Handle to reduce the Technique scaling and increase the Motivity scaling, giving you more damage for your build.
Advance scaling is mostly the same, except Advance will only ever increase elemental damage on a weapon. So a weapon HAS to have innate elemental damage on it to benefit. Hence why both Tim and I recommended the Circular Electric Chainsaw Handle for the Electric Coil Stick Head. The Head has innate Electric Blitz damage, and the Handle has innate Advance scaling. So if you have an Advance Crank, use it on the Handle and it will increase the scaling, giving you even more elemental damage.
This also means you're kinda limited in terms of what Handles you can use with elemental weapons. You can use a Handle without Advance scaling on it, it's just not optimal.
That's about it. This was a lot longer than expected, but I wanted to cover as much as possible. Cheers.
