Parrying

Seems pretty good. Are some weapon types better at it than others? Appreciate any advice the kind community may offer.. thanks

The timing for Perfect Guarding is identical across all weapons, and as far as I could tell, parrying Fable Arts with the same name (like Guard Parry) behave the same across different weapons.

There are some weapons, however, that can (perfect) guard or parry while attacking. The Blind Man's Double-Sided Spear and Etiquette can guard when attacking, and the Two Dragons Sword can parry when its charged heavy attack flashes.

EDIT: Gnodab is correct. Heavier blades also have stronger perfect guard destruction (which is how you break enemy weapons).

Heavier blades inflict more stagger with a parry than lighter ones, and if you like parrying, heavier blades let you guard more damage when you mess up. Examples would be Big Pipe Wrench Head and Greatsword of Fate Blade.
