Can I play the initial release version of the game?

I'd like to play the game in the state that it released, meaning without the changes that patch 1.2.0 made. I don't want the buffs that the patch gave us.
Is there any way to roll back the game to the state it was before the patch?

Dont blame you. I am both excited and nervous about this upcoming November patch with weapon balance changes. I really hope they dont just layer us with more buffs and further ease the difficulty of the game. I love the game but its difficulty could do with a bump if anything especially the areas between bosses. I would love at the very least a aegus shield nerf and throwables nerf. Now before anyone jumps on me with the ever so popular ''just dont use em!'' Imagine your fave weapon or playstyle was very weak and instead of it being buffed you were told ''just dont use it'' Its not exactly satisfactory is it. Love the game and I want it better balanced is all. Just those two things really. Its quite well balanced otherwise imo.

100% agreed on some of the more noticeable OP mechanics like:
- Specter buff
- Throwables being OP since the start
- Aegis shield being simply BROKEN with guard+attacking and guard+perfect guard spamming

The above 3 mechanics/aspects of the game need nerfs in my opinion.

Very understandable the nerfs landed right when I got to manus and my friend told me how much different it was for her. Took me 3 tries only because I felt like perfect blocking as much as possible... was very sad how easy that was.

Just in case someone is interested in getting the earliest/release version of Lies of P, which doesn't include the updates/patches that came afterwards; here are the needed steps:

1. open steam console by typing steam://open/console in a browser
2. paste "download_depot 1627720 1627721 6414528620246400900" without the quotation marks in the console window
3. start the download process of the original game version's files (by pressing enter in Steam Console)
4. Wait for Steam console to finish downloading (it's around 35GB). Check your network usage in Windows Task Manager to see at what speed you're downloading the files since Steam doesn't display any indication of the download progress for it. When the download is finished, Steam Console will give you the following message: "Depot download complete : "C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\content\app_1627720\depot_1627721" (92 files, manifest 6414528620246400900)"
5. Backup your current Save for Lies of P if you want to resume a previous playthrough. The save file location is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lies of P\LiesofP\Saved\SaveGames". Copy the "SavedGames" folder somewhere elese(desktop?), because you'll need it if you want to restore that save.
6.Delete the previous game files and replace them by copying the files you downloaded in step 4. There should be 3 files/folders in total "Engine" folder, "LiesofP" folder and the LOP.exe file. Copy them to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lies of P".
7. Copy the save folder in step 5 in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lies of P\LiesofP\Saved".

For the record the game seems compatible between 1.2.0.0 and 1.1.2.0, though of course keep backup of your savegames just in case.

I'd manage the game versions with symlinks or with just moving the game's directory to some other location.
