It only bothers me when they add things like automatic perfect parries, or anything else that trivializes the actual skill play this game has to offer. The skill ceiling is still only attainable by those who actually work for it. If some people just want to run around mashing buttons and see the story let AI companions win the boss fights for them.
If you think something makes the game too easy, don't use it. Problem solved. Literally nothing to be bothered by.
There are people who would do anything to beat a boss, even ruin their game experience by summoning a spectre, but it's their problem, it' s their fault that they won't enjoy the game on 100%, but only on like 40%.
As long as the easy mode doesn't affect me like general boss nerfs for bosses which do not even need it or enemies nerfs, more legion arm damage for legion arms which are super strong enough already, more weapon damage for weapons which are also already strong enough, I don't really care.
It's their money and if they want to "throw it away" by watching the game play by itself, just let them be, you are the one who enjoys the game on 100%, not them so you should be proud of yourself and laugh at the players who summon every single fight, even if they have no idea what kind of boss awaits them.
It's a different situation if the player is struggling with the boss for like 2-3 hours and then is like "oh god I don't care anymore", I can understand that, but the players who summon on the very first try, I don't think that is okay, I just want them to try and enjoy the game a little bit more before "cheesing" the boss, but many do not understand that and they will start with "It's in the game so I am gonna use it whenever I want, clown" replies, I don't care... use it, but you are stealing yourself from the true happiness after achieving a true victory by defeating the boss alone.
I beat the game 4 times (3 times with all the bosses killed) and I have never spent more than 1-2 hours on a boss, even the hard ones at the end so the game is perfectly beatable even without spectre. The more you die, the more you learn, every single death should be a "Oh, I should pay attention to this attack next time" instead of "fu** you, you are the worst boss ever made, I am gonna destroy you with my buddy now".
The spectre is extremely strong now after the buff, that is for sure.
Then it becomes like someone summoned a friend to help in a boss fight in DS1, or remember the "mimic" in Elden Ring as well? Doesn't matter mate, we still have the option to opt out of specters/mimics/NPC summons (which I think majority of those playing this game opt out of them, myself included).
Now if they did balance patches, then we'd have to look out for that, since it affects us all.
Fully leveled Mimic pre-nerf says "hold my beer."
I think objective fact doesn't figure into OP's criticisms. At least not those facts that are inconvenient to the preferred narrative.
If the game allows using specters, feel free to use them without hesitation. It is not the skip button, but a feature similar to using items and levelling up. "Hardcore" guys can invent many challenges for themselves such as beating the game without putting points into any attributes or with starting items only, or whatever.
Using specter is how the game is supposed to be without these masochist challenges.
