Just wanted to say thanks (to you and others) for this tip because it gave me the edge & ultimately made the difference. Phase 1 I enjoyed the rhythm of the parrying but Phase 2 (overstimulating) was just use perfect guard grindstone and hope for the best. I had to save scum so I'd stop losing all my items (dishonourable I know) bc I was so tired of grinding for ergo...my hands are still shaking haha
Keep getting him down to quarter hp but then the script kicks in and starts to do a 12 hit combo or whatever as soon as stagger bar shows up all while trying to pull off 1 heal to survive the guard hits which i die too.
Most of the game you have to fight passiv against bosses. But for the last 3 its better to go for it and trade hits to push out damage. Dont try to perfect parry everything - just block and dish out damage - only perfect parry the red stuff. (Dont mind if you are a parry-god)
Killed the last three within 2 tries each (NG/NG+) without throwables or ghost or parry-stone. The good thing is they have not much health.
Just stick to their ass, dodge, block.. and hit them hard. Dont stay passiv and let them attack spam you - dodge and strick back. Equip your best armor and the +1 carry amulet - also the physical resistenz amulet. Dont forget to buff your weapon.
I used bonesaw with the saber handl. The fabel art of the handl can spam a ton of damage.
Simon did have a lot of health before the patch. I managed it eventually but am happy it'll be a shorter fight on ng+ As for nameless puppet, phase 2 is harder to parry because of his red flashes make it hard to focus on when it's a red parry only attack.
