Do you keep your humanity "value" when going to NG+

So in my base run I got enough humanity to get the golden lie and white hair


The question is when I NG+, do I keep my "humanity level" so I can get the "true ending" -- or do I have to re-do all the side quests to get my humanity up again

I know I keep my white hair as a cosmetic, but I don't know if I have to get enough humanity to earn it the second time since you need it to get the ending

I don't really notice the humanity mechanic, other than the painting in the Geppetto's room. That said, is the cat also an indicator of your humanity at any stage?

When you just start off, the cat hisses. I noticed, now it lets me pet it. If it is, that's a very natural and clever way to gauge your current progress.

You don't. Started NG+ yesterday and Kitty hissed at me when I arrived at the hotel. Each NG cycle you have to gain it all back.

How much do you actually need for the true ending to get the white hair

In my first run I just did everything, so I didn't worry about hitting any milestone (even though I did end up getting The Golden Lie)

i got the white hair and think i only lied 3 times even got the golden lie weapon

Something else worth noting: If you're trying to get high humanity again in case you missed anything (Sophia's quest completion, Golden Lie, etc) from the previous run, you'll also need to collect the records again. Even though they transfer between NG cycles, they won't give humanity on first listen unless you collect them and listen in the respective NG cycle.

Pretty important, records provide quite a bit of humanity.
