Can't kill Alidoro

I can't kill alidoro in NG+ to take the last vinyl. Someone else happens?

Happened to me. I read it happens if you fast travel after killing the brotherhood, but before talking to alidoro. Not sure how accurate that is. Did you fast travel right after you killed the bosses?

I did exactly this and was still able to kill Alidoro. It's possible that this is a glitch that doesn't always occur, but there might be some other reason. How's your humanity? Alidoro's dialogue suggests that you can't attack him if it's too low.

I am sure I fast travelled and didn't have this issue.
Is your humanity too low? Perhaps you need some level of humanity to go against the rules made for puppets and attack him.

No true. I did my Truth Only run in NG+ and still be able to kill him.

But in my first playthrough, I selected option 'Attack' but didn't kill him right after that. Then I traveled to somewhere else, and later, back to him. Turned out I cannot kill him anymore. Maybe it's the similar case.

Did you listen to the albums? Because they also give humanity.

Zab said 'Humanity', not Lie.

Sometimes there is no Lie or Truth and in such cases one answer may give Humanity, one may not, such as the Simon Manus story dialogue choice, or the cure with Antonia etc.

It should be more defined as Humanity / No Humanity, buy unfortunately the Lie/Truth has kinda stuck.


Anyhow, do you remember what state your humanity was at on your truth playthrough when you had the option to kill alidoro.....??

Was it at 'Your springs are reacting' which indicates very low humanity, or was it at 'The Ergo is whispering' which is the 2nd stage of humanity??

Or maybe it was even higher (maybe You feel Warmth')

Thanks mate, would appreciate it if you could reply as maybe could bring me a step closer to figuring this out. Atm, you're the only one ive seen who has been able to attack him on the truth playthrough ;)

Something similar happened to me in my first playthrough. I spoke with him, saw the option to attack, and thought it would be good to check with people at the hotel first. When I came back, the option to attack was no longer there. I thought it was intentional that you had to take your shot now or forever hold your peace.

I held my peace until NG+

I was at "You feel Warm" and still couldn't kill him only had talk and purchase options.

Bring that I don't have time to play the game twice this really sucks.
