[HELL ON EARTH]

Hi All

iam loving the game, but reached the merchant outside the fun fair just before the boss fight.
Should i buy any weapons off him, and any advice on the boss fight please.

He only sells the starter weapons, you probably don't need to buy them. Try backstabbing the boss which is a good strat against all human enemies.

It's all the starter weapons, but you can customize your weapons later on with different blade and hilt combinations. It's worth collecting as many as you can to give yourself more options. You can also try out the different weapons as-is if they're more your style. Scaling won't mean too much early game.

Bosses are so epic, but finding the running a little slow in this game.😊

Just found out you can run very fast hold the space bar down off YouTube.😁

You can jump doing dash too, not sure the keyboard input for that as I use a controller

This is false. Get the other starting weapons now or you'll be locked out of getting them until ng+. It's always a good idea to obtain any weapons you can get your hands on to make more weapon combinations.

And, well... good luck. I don't exactly know why you're asking for help on the first boss when he's a joke, but the boss fights are going to get a lot harder than... that. I recommend that you level up vitality more than your damage stat, and always try to kill elite enemies/side bosses since they drop good stuff.

buy all the weapons from him; a decent chunk later in the story that area will no longer be available, but that should be in around 15 hours of playtime, you can get them again in ng+ tough

Edit: also your movement speed is tied to your equipment load, next to your weight it tells you your weight class, nothing means medium; below 30% is light, above 60% is slightly heave, above 80% is heavy

I just tested it, and I am indeed able to go back to that merchant, at the beginning of the game,
I just beat the White Lady, so if it locks you out later, it's after where I am in the game.
Even bought a second rapier just to see if could still buy off him.

Is this your first Soulsborne game? If so my best advice is to get used to using i-frames, which means when you time it right you can dodge right through most attacks even if they technically touch your character. It's easier than timing the block, though you should learn to perfect block too at some point. If you already knew that then my best advice is DO NOT USE BOSS ERGO TO LEVEL UP. Save them to trade to the merchant later on for boss weapons and amulets.

I've completed dark souls 3, and most of 2.But to be honest I don't know how, as iam not a very good player at those games like this, but I do enjoy them.😊
