Is the scrapped watchman any good solo?
I summoned the echo since the tutorial told me I could, the fight was over in 15 seconds and I feel robbed of an actual fun, hard and engaging bossfight. Is the scrapped watchman also this easy when fighting without an echo(or whatever It's called).

His grab attach is a B, I'd be doing fine in NG++ and then he'd one shot me with that damn grab. Other than that, yes he's a pretty good fun fight. It's fun to perfect block his spinny arm attacks.

People will really go as far as to make anti-summon propaganda instead of just not summoning

Are you familiar with souls-like games? I've seen videos on youtube of people getting stuck on him in the demo for a while. But I'd say the average gamer shouldn't have too much trouble with him - taking fewer than 5 attempts.

If you're not familiar with souls-like games, beating him first try is pretty remarkable. Don't worry, there are some bosses that will make this guy pale in comparison. They also revisit some of his movesets later.

As far as specters go, that's up to you if you want to use them. I'd recommend trying the game without to see how you handle the challenge. But there's no shame in using them if that's what you want to do. Personally, I get a much greater sense of accomplishment not using them but that's just me.

Playing with Specters makes you play the game the wrong way IMO
You can stand behind the boss and just hit until they stagger.

It is more fun to play as intended with Dodge, block and perfect guard.

This goes for all Bosses even if it means several tries to get the boss moves.

Yeah I am, I beat all fromsoft games, but I tend to try everything the game tells me. But the boss felt way too easy with the spectre and I'm not really in the mood to replay the entire first part of the game just to refight him without if It's not worth it.

Yeah, he's a fun fight, but certainly not in the list of top 3 or even 5 bosses for my favorite fight. I think you're fine to move on with your build. I never used the specters so I don't know how strong they are, but I believe they buffed them in the last patch. So they may be powerhouses now. Maybe just experiment with the next boss solo before making a decision. Also, keep in mind, you have an item that instantly kills you. If you put it on your hotbar, you can test it out and then nope out of the arena with your newfound knowledge

yeah I never really summoned in elden ring I didn't really like how easy the fights got, Idk why I thought the spectres in this game would be different.

Good luck, sir, and enjoy your journey! You're in for a pretty wild throughout the game. This has quickly risen to one of my favorite souls-style games, and my favorite of souls-like not created by Fromsoft.
