Duplicate weapons override the upgrades??

Kinda makes me scared to pick anything up on NG+ because I don't remember precisely where everything is and I don't want to accidentally sabotage my damage just because I picked up my current weapon.

This definitely feels like a bug.

I am doing a ng+ run and no they don't override when I get the dupes I put them in storage or take them apart to mess with weapon mixing but no as far as I seen no overriding also easy to tell the apart if you upgraded them.

It's definitely happening to me. My Greatsword of Fate lost its upgrades when I picked it up again.

Duplicate weapons don't overrride anything. If you have a weapon at +5 and find that same weapon on NG+, you will have both of them, your old one at +5 and the new one at +0.

That is weird had my main weapon and picked up another they were separate and everything was fine I guess it was a bug that just happened somehow weird.

I can confirm that I have no issue with picking up duplicate weapons. Upgraded ones stay the same, newly picked up are just cluttering my inventory. I have to do regular clean up by going to Stargazer, using Storage option and dumping all the duplicates into the storage.

Might be a bug as - in NG, I went back to the Venigni Works area right before the last boss to get the Sanctum I missed. Ended up getting the Fire Axe, then I went into NG+ and did this during my trek through and had 2 in my upgrade area.

Otherwise - all of my other weapons where pretty much pulled apart but like 2.

When I re-acquired the Electric Mjonir however (which I took apart) - I noted only having 1 of the hammer heads. Though - I didn't level the first one I got either.

Can confirm I'm having this problem on my new game+, I'm playing on gamepass. I 100% had a 10+ booster glaive and a 9+ saw cleaver with a motivity handle. They are NOT in my inventory or storage, anyone know of a fix? I don't even know how to report this to the devs as a bug
