If you thought the game is hard..
try NG+ ... its way worse then NG. The Bosses feel like they have double the HP as in NG and you dont do nearly enough damage. Trash-mops are OK so far.. but Bosses are absorb damange like crazzy.

Dont know - this needs balance. NG+ in souls games feelt much more natural and had a way lesser spicke in difficulty.

you're doing something wrong... NG+ was far easier than NG because you have access to all the various abilities and the full skill tree right away... not to mention the easy mode patch that reduced boss amulet weights.

Enemies (bosses included) died MUCH faster on NG+ because of the damage and ease of levelling to further increase damage stats

who do I believe?

Ok i got a bit further now and bishop was a joke.

Maybe it was just watchmen which was way harder then in NG. Bishop does not feel like he has 5x the HP like watchmen did.

@OP
My experience with NG+ is very different. I completed my first playthrough before patch 1.2 hit and I struggled most early to mid game with bosses like Archbishop and King of Puppets. Late game bosses while some were absolutely insane were comparably easier for me than the earier ones because my build finally came alive and I had more experience with the game.

I absolutely agree. Part of the smooth sailing was the effect of patch 1.2 where some of those early to mid game bosses definitely felt much easier (Archbishop's HP in both phases was evaporating so fast).
Once you get Phase 6 P-organs upgrades and few remaining crucial ones from earlier phases, you are much better equipped to deal with whatever NG+ throws at you.

I'm bit skeptical about NG++ because I'm worried about damage drop off since we do not upgrade weapons anymore and damage scaling from stats is so poor it make almost not impact past 50 points in any given attribute.

Nah. New game+ should be way easier and shorter.

Early NG+ can catch you off guard. The bosses hit a lot harder than NG. For me, I didn't have to perfect the fight in NG to pass them. However, I needed to actually get their patterns and timing down for NG+. This is especially true if you built up some confidence in your perfect guard only to get slapped by patterns you aren't as familiar with haha.

I think that's why it's easier at the bishop. In NG, most people will have virtually mastered his first phase. Extending the fight and giving him a little more damage doesn't mean much when virtually everything is either being dodged or parried.

getting hit by scrapped watchmans grab attack in NG+ took me from 100% hp to dead, other than NG+ has been wayyy easier than regular new game, I've melted everything.
it's not that bad even solo. Watchmen was pretty tough even with +5 katana - took me 10+ tries, everything after was pretty ez since you know their movesets, even KoP. After the patch his first phase is a joke. Swamp monster was pretty challenging, but doable still. Now the real problem on ng+ is Laxasia.. I'm stuck for an hour+ already. She didn't get patched at all.. Her HP pool is insane and completely unfair on 1st phase, you're jsut wasing too much time on 1st phase, getting tired and this affects phase 2 (yes, HP pool is still big). I got her for 20% remaining once, but even that felt lucky.

It depends on a boss, but a lot of times I fail cause I am not paying as much attention as I did in NG. A lot of bosses I am able to kill on first try and a lot of other ones I fail cause of stupid gimmicks on NG+. The swamp boss is stupid on second phase cause if he locks you into a corner during his dash attack you are pretty much stuck there and dead.

Overall I find NG+ easier but its well balance. Still has the challenge factor in it but you can cheese a lot of bosses and enemies with right setup. For example in some cases I find normal enemies more difficult cause they take longer to kill where I find most mini bosses super easy thanks to all the upgrades I have to easily put them into vulnerable state.

Well thats why you get a ton of easy level ups once you reach the requirement of 16000 Ergo. I think it doesnt increase until 16032. Thats easy 32 levels right there.

NG+ and NG++ was just a speedrun simulator for me because I already knew all the boss attacks, where to go, where to find this and that so no...

NG+ is pretty easy imo.

NG+ felt easier than NG to me but in part because I was familiar with the mechanics at that point
Mecharion Oct 2, 2023 @ 8:37pm
Yea i agree now. Was just the watchman which was way more tanki than in NG.

watchman in general is kind of a hard boss honestly, he gave me more trouble than Andreus or other bosses

The Watchman is MUCH tankier than both phases of Andreus for example which is quite weird lol
