Does it matter what answer you give for the last riddle for the chosen ones trinity key?

i'm going for an all lie run, do i have to tell the truth and confess to get the key? or will any answer do for this one?

You always want to answer the riddles correctly to gain humanity (technically lie). What I assume you are going for is a high humanity run, and not necessarily an "all lie run", which means lying is not always the correct move.

Your question was literally if you can get the key or not if you confess. Now you are saying yourself that you can get the key either way. Of course you can… all the riddles let you get the key one way or another, though the wrong answer usually requires extra steps that you might be locked out of due to previous decisions. I don’t get your question if you are literally just trying to answer your own question at this point.
