I'm going through my second playthrough and I love the game. Playing on GP but I'll sure buy this game full price, not sale, as soon as I can.
And I'm looking forward to hearing about future DLC plans.
Wandering around is great and all but I like to just go from objective to objective. There's a lot of times in other games where I feel like I just wasted my time going down a side path that accomplishes nothing.
I'm not sure that's a problem that needs fixed.
I have to agree here. I loved Elden Ring and sank way too many hours into it. But the boss balance many times didn't feel quite right. Still super high quality, but there was a slight sacrifice of quality for the quantity. When it's more linear, they know exactly how difficult they want each fight to be and what to expect the player to have. But that's also more personal preference for tighter mechanics.
I do think they can open the map up a bit more. Most sections had two paths where it became quite obvious which was the main path, and which path led to something shiny to loot. I wouldn't mind more discrete paths and secrets to uncover.
edit : also if you bothered to beat the game, you would know that there will be no DLC. they are planning on doing an alice in wizard of ozz game next.- edited cause im an idiot.
If my wallet weren't so tight with other releases, I'd probably be better about buying this for full price right now. But the end of the year is jam-packed for me, so it's kind of an elite list.
I do fully agree though, everyone can gab back and forth about the gameplay but the everything *else* is perfectly on point. I'm losing myself in this world way more than I did Yharnam or whatnot.
Bro why are you so mad LMAO. He's just getting excited about a potential DLC and discussing his thoughts, thats what forums are for. Also, there will almost certainly be DLC of some kind, and that stuff you mentioned will be in a sequel
He doesn't own it on this steam account. You know people can own it on other platforms, or have access to it through gamepass?
I'm not usually a person to call gatekeeping but jeez. He's part of the Steam community who plays a game we all enjoy. Why can he not have a voice here? Seems like an unnecessary position for someone who is seemingly asking a genuine observation on how they'd like the game to be improved. You're welcome to disagree with those opinions, or, if you think he's a troll, why not just ignore it and move on?
Gamepass users and those who use different platforms are all welcome in my conversations
I don't own the game yet, I will in the future, I pay for GP and I am entitled to use the service how and when I see fit. If you go to my steam account, which by the way is public, you'll notice that I do buy games and also take part in conversations related to said games, you'll even notice, maybe, that I have some games I bought but never played, Ori and the will of the wisps for example, that's because I finished that game multiple times on GP and then, when I had money to spare I went ahead and bought it to support the devs, could've just bought another game instead since I had already finished it several times but that's not what I did.
I'm part of the steam community and will participate in conversations as well as create threads whenever I feel like and unless I'm spreading hate all around, to gatekeep me from talking about a game on a platform I'm a user for years and spent lots of money on is idiotic to say the least.
I understand, Elden Ring was too much imo. There's a fine balance to be struck I guess. DS1 and bloodborne got it right with the right amount of linearity and exploration. Sekiro was more linear but it had more branching paths to go down. I think Lies of P could use just a little bit more branching paths so you have places to explore. I wouldn't want this game to be as daunting and wide scope as ER. between how it is and to be something like ER, I prefer how it is. but if they were to add something more to the game, I wish they added a few more places to go too and more secrets to find.
you SAY you have gamepass. i say you torrented it.
