First of all, slightly past midpoint of the game you will get ability to reset your build so do not worry too much about leveling.
Next, I would definitely push Vitality to 30 at least, potentially even 36. Same for your damage affecting stats, ie. Technique.
Vigor at 20 is good enough. If you intend to use fast weapons, which Technique builds often focus on you do not even need 20 in it.
Capacity is really up to your preference how tanky you want to be. I like to use best defensive parts, Aegis and 20+ mass weapon, which means I invested a lot into this stat. I'm currently at 42, which let me wear almost all best (and also heaviest) parts without need to use weight increasing amulet.
Otherwise - I ended up not pumping my Vigor past 12 until near the end of the game, while going to like 26 in Capacity (and I use the amulet you get); all this does though is allow you quick rolls way later after you have all the "best armor".
The only other thing I would say - consider Advance. It isn't as helpful at the beginning, but some areas later become long and have plenty of health rich enemies. Don't need to do too much, but it helps also hop around the soft-locks as you can then apply an elemental grindstone to your weapon for a boost.
