Any advices for Nameless puppet?
Stuck on this guy for 3 days. 1st phase easy, acid, almost everything parryable and boom. But 2nd is just something over the top. Cannot find a window when to hit that bastard, using 7 coils sword, so while I'm trying landing a hit, it starts combo-wombo and destroys my ass. Dunno, maybe I should re-spec to dex build and faster weapons. My record is almost 40% of his health on the 2nd phase. What is also annoying that it became much tankier then 1st phase. If you know some tips, would be greatly appreciated

I actually skipped that boss because I killed Manus at 03:00 AM and was so tired that didn´t want another boss fight to end the game, but when Im stuck with a boss, bombing him with thrown weapons usually works.

Try the katana if you have it.
It helps

I just did it yesterday around 40 minutes of retry.
Phase 2, I actually recommend evade more when he do the spinning slash.
Evade toward his back and side, and you will see some miss.
Some times it is because you evade because blocking push you some distance away.

I use the "perfect blocking" grind stone. So I can take less damage and put him into staggered earlier.
I also use aegis, when triggered it will push some distance away and avoid his sword combo, while apply some stagger damage.
I wear full set every highest physical reduction. On top of physical resist amulet and heaviest anti slashing armor.
Aside from red attack, normal quick swing only take around few mm of my hp.

My build p-organ focus at heavy attack stagger and empty pulse charge. So I only has 6 flask charge max.

This fight actually not as excessive difficulty as other bosses.
It is grand finale 1v1 puppet show down.

You’re supposed to use electrical and not acid since it’s a puppet and not a human.
Also first phase you need to parry as you were doing and second phase it’s best to avoid entirely his attacks and stay on his side and land a hit after all his strings. Sometimes he does one when he come from the sky, you can do an heavy charged attack right after it if you’re close.

I currently struggle on Nameless Puppet, some 30-40 minutes of re-tries, after I have completely smashed Manus' head on 5th total attempt.

Did anyone find timing or clue on how to perfect guard this Fury attack charges from across the screen? I only managed to perfect guard it 2 times in all of my attempts...

Can anyone confirm Nameless Puppet's weapon can be broken? I'm currently consider just perfect guarding and not damaging it to break the waepon and hope it is possible and stick to phase 2.

Puppet phase 2 is vulnerable after finishing their combo with a long vertical spin slash, or finishing their combo with a horizontal sweep with both their swords. Spear grab, red attack, and leap attacks are also punishable, and I believe you can get a running attack in if he dodges away.

either you have the reaction time of a Valorant world championship level zoomer on Adderall and 6 monster ultras, or you have to be a prophet.

The boss in phase 2 is moving way too much. I can try to stick with it or run after it but the problem is that I often am low on stamina so I can get 1 or 2 hits in but get punished by next attack that breaks my poise.

There are is an aerial attack that can be punished but it is random what attacks it decides to do so it is not exactly reliable.

Yep, it definitely feels like I'm either missing a hint/clue when to trigger guard or I'm missing some drugs in my circulation system to get on par with the reaction requirement :P

I just used the perfect guard fable art lmao. Never turned back since it made everything so much easier. What I did was hold my guard and react roll his attacks until he was open, and like you said I only was able to get two attacks in before going back to dodging all their attacks. Red attacks and leap attacks give you more hits tho, so you should really try to punish them.

I might go back to the initial Greatsword and its handle over my fully upgraded Bone-Cutting blade mounted on Krat police baton handle. The weapon served me well for pretty much all of the game from the moment I got it but I might upgrade initial Greatsworda and used its handle Fable art to deal with the charge.

Seems like evasion is an answer. Tried several times, ofc, still nope, but saw a lot more opportunities to attack. Thanks, need to re-spec a bit, but in general feels better than usual trying to block and parry everythin
ChaosAndjey Sep 26, 2023 @ 7:08pm
Damn, now, after beating him, feeling myself so stupid, that forgot about evasion. Literally, sticked close to him, evade behind him and charged heavy attack. Thanks everyone for your advices, greatly appreciated
Baron01 Sep 26, 2023 @ 8:06pm
I just beat him and the answer is dodge forward though his combos. This will give you ample opportunity to punish him. His Fury attack / charge is still a a toss but I was able to perfect guard 2 out of 3 in my attempt where I killed him and also managed to dodge/run out of reach of one as well.

You should electrical blitz grindstones and shot put. It is a puppet so electricity is doing increased damage to him and shot put will guarantees that you get a fatal attack if you stagger him.

I can also confirm with near certainty that it is not possible to break Nameless puppet's weapon by perfect guards. I spent nearly 15 minutes perfect guarding his attack in phase 1 thanks to it healing when low on health and my P-organ upgrade that heal guard regain when perfect guarding.

Absolutely try to dodge. It only took me 1 more try once I realized dodging into his whirling attacks position you right behind him and often does not require anymore dodges to avoid rest of his combo.
