Missing a blade and handle from inventory

I got stuck on a boss and due to it being weak to fire, I decided to go grab the Salamander Blade. Now i'm currently using a boss weapon, so all of my blades and handles are separated and in my inventory.

I go back to Hotel Krat and go to assemble weapons. I notice that the Salamander Handle is there, but not the blade. I start going through my items. I have 14 blades and 14 handles. Weird. I check and find the Salamander Blade and the Fire Axe Handle missing. I have never combined those two pieces together before and I know I didn't sell them. They're just...gone.

Has anyone else had this issue of items just disappearing from you inventory?

Like I said, I'm really certain I didn't sell it. The blades/handles has it's own tab which I never went into in the sell menu because i'm a hoarder lol. And that's what I'm saying. I would notice accidentally selling both a blade and a handle. And I never combined those two together, so I know I never sold them as one piece.

I've seen other posts about people losing upgrade items and other things. I'm wondering if it's the same thing.

Ok. Just to make things clearer. I'm going to provide some screenshots.

If I talk to Eugenie and select Assemble Weapons. You'll see there are non assembled. All weapons I currently have are split up into their individual pieces as can be seen here:

As you can see I have the Salamander handle, but not the blade. As I said before, I haven't sold it.

I'm playing on Xbox, the same happened to me, would really like to be able to assemble a new weapon with the Salamander Blade...
