Is there any reason NOT to trade a boss soul as soon as you get it?

the wiki is showing their only uses to be trading for one of the two items from that guy. should i just dump all i've got now?

Pretty much, the only two uses you could think of, is getting the achievement for getting all boss weapons (so no talismans) or the quest that requires you to have a certain boss weapon.

Don't think they are worth holding onto TBH - haven't encountered anything asking for them, and am in CH10 or 11 now. Believe there is something about one of the weapons being required for something - but didn't want to confirm and spoil anything until NG+

Don't use them, you can trade them to a vendor for boss weapons/amulets.

Last cryptic vessel i believe, (not sure which one) you require the Frozen Feast weapon for it.

The NPC who trades for them is first found in Chapter 4 so you missed him by a mile. lol

Nah - I found both NPCs; I meant that I didn't find anything explicitly saying "You need to give me the Parade Master's souls to complete this quest".

Didn't think there would be - but considering what Ergo is, you never know.

From what I experienced in my playthrough, yeah, you can trade them all to that guy. You don't really miss anything since you keep your stuff in NG+, so you can trade for the amulets in the second go through.

I, like a moron however, used some of the souls for Ergo until I found that the guy was trading stuff later.
