(SPOILERS) Two endings on one save file?

Hello. So I just beat The Arm of God and because I read a little bit about the endings I know that now I get the choice to either give up my heart and getting the bad ending or to refuse and fight the true final boss. For those who have beaten the game - is it possible to do both? I imagine that once you make your final choice the game locks itself to that path but could I technically "cheat" by copying my save file and after beating the last boss and getting the achievment to replace the save file and get the achievment for the bad ending out of the way? I would definitely want to fight the last boss over getting the bad ending but I would also like to take a chance to do the bad ending without replaying the whole game ( I am of course going to do that but that would be to get the "true" ending). Has anyone tried this? Do you think it would work? Or is it too risky to tamper with the save files?

pretty sure you can back up the save and then when steam finds a different file it will ask you if you want to upload that or download the one from the cloud

You can go down on the lift after the end boss and activate the stargazer there, then close the game, back up your save from the game folder.

Then make the choice you want, watch credits, don't start NG+ when prompted but return to the hotel for some ending-specific achievements (piano, last story-achievements). Then quit and replace the savegame folder with the one you backed up earlier and repeat with the different choice.

I beat NP and started NG+ immediately because I thought I had to, rip.

Thanks for the reply. Now uhhhh .... how do I find the save file. Sorry. I dont normally do anything like this. Do I look up a guide or something? I guess the save file is going to be in a specific folder? Maybe steamapps?

steamapps\common\Lies of P\LiesofP\Saved\SaveGames (you can also right click the game -> manage -> browse local files)

The folder with the numbers is your profile, just back up that entire folder.
