I notice some weapon flinch human enemy every hit, but some weapons flinch every 2 hit.
Hope more value are display and clear up
I honestly wish that in nearly every (if not every) "souls" game up to today.
I wouldn't mind if more Souls took a page from, of all things, AC6. Give us an option to pull up a whole-ass detailed nitty-gritty stats screen if we want to crunch the numbers.
Or just shrug it of like the puppet king when he starts to cry.
Its so easy and ingenious. Almost as if an indicator like an actual bar below the HP bar would make the game mechanic usefull and predictable. Call me crazy, just an idea.
Yeah I think they actually actively wanted you to roll the dice as to whether the boss jumps, attacks, etc. and get screwed on the stagger confirmation -- which is why they hid the bar. If it was there you could do exactly as you say. So this was probably on purpose... :-/
Well but it actually kinda force you to exploit the charged attacks. The Kukir has a quite long wind up but a long range. I used it now whenever i think i might get a stagger on bigger enemies, but if its not working, you just take a big chuck of the HP bar which is also fine.
I still think some kind of indicator would improve the combat. The way it is you either try 3-4 charges in a row before getting a stagger, or you get surprised by it and cant use it.
