Just beat the game (spoilers)
What the ♥♥♥♥ Geppeto, I thought you were gonna make me a real boy. I started a new game right away and now I missed out on some items in his office apparently, do those explain why he's such an evil bastard in this ending?

He wants to use P's heart to revive his long dead son Carlo. This only works if you've been lying throughout the game, as this turns your heart human. The letter you missed in his office is from Geppetto, and he writes about how he's going to set things right in Krat and end the petrification disease. If you walk around the hub, you'll notice that all the NPCs have been replaced by puppet versions of themselves after Geppetto made you kill them. It's a twisted ending for sure.

I think you could also get it by listening to records and finishing them. I did a mix of lie and truth since I didn't want to be an ass to some characters lol

You don't need to raise your humanity for Gepetto to revive Carlo. You can get this bad ending regardless of your choices about lying or telling the truth in your playthrough.
Lying is only important if you want the good ending "Rise of P" and Carlo is not revived in that ending, since you don't give your heart.

Oh okay. That makes sense. I guess the arm of god is the main ingredient that revives carlo and your heart holds the memories.
