Puppet string link attack bugged!

So I have the puppet string arm fully upgraded, but whenever I hold down the legion button to do the jump trace attack, my character will do the attack but not actually jump above into the air during the animation, he just stays at the same altitude as before during the attack animation. Does anyone else have this bug, or am I doing it wrong?

I thought it was a bug too, but actually, I had to hold the legion arm button, and after hold the light attack button.

are u sure man? i've tried that. it is not working for me? i hold down the legion arm (ctrl) and then hold light attack too.
