Puppet language?

Hi! Just finished the Parade king... what language do they speak? The subs look kind of chinese, is that on purpose?

It's english, you can read it as is.

I didn't change any language settings and it's english for me. It's very distorted but still legible.

Also, it is in fact, English. With subtitles on, you can make out the words if you focus on them (Hard to do in the moment, considering how much focus the game demands on the bosses in general), they're only covered with a filter that makes them harder to make out.

I def don't have time to focus on what that thing says when I'm dodging and trying to parry. Subs are NOT english for sure

Yeah but no ones gonna be able to see the text during a fight, also if you do read it some of it is kinda story spoilers, thats why you can read it in NG+ which is when it all makes sense and comes together.

No no, you're not dumb. As Master Blaster correctly said you're not really intended to be understanding it well in your first playthrough. It's all good don't worry!
