Parry window could be a bit bigger
I mean i see that Sekiro's parry window was a bit too wide, but here it seems like you must be close to frame perfect. Not complaining as i am making progress, but there were some fast combos where i got hit due to some very slight miss timing. Anyone else feels some frames more would be perfect?

If you go to the training area and use the dummy that swings on you, you'll see that you can go for parries a little earlier than you think.

It's still hard to parry in real time battles because of the pressure, but. You'll see you don't have to wait as long as you think.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm waiting on some data about the parry window. People have been saying though that if you just tap the block button, you don't take benefit of the full parry window. Sekiro's deflection window is 200ms in comparison.

Yeah compared to Sekiro where you go in stance directly after tapping block button in LoP you have to hold before tapping for being safe if you miss your parry. I don't think it change the parry window tho.

No need more more frames. You said it yourself, it's you mistiming your parry.

The parry definitely is no joke in this game, they could have at least done something like in Thymesia that you would be able to buy some kind of perk which will increase your parry window...

The Quartz tree is perfect where there could have been some kind of larger parry window for perfect block, but I would definitely make it only either in NG+ or at the Phase 5.

Parry in this game is the same as every game you tap the block button at the start of attacks active frames. If you can parry silver knights in dark souls you can parry 90% of attacks in this game.

Bigger yeah more satisfying maybe to or add talents that increase parry window and make it easier perhaps, as you also have way to improve dodge.

The timing issue would be solved instantly if perfect guards broke combos. Even if it broke it just enough to get a single hit in it would be fine.

In Dark Souls you parry when the enemy's attack wind up is at it's peak, not as they're about to land an attack on you. Not the same. :steamsad:

Yeah one or two more frames would be nice

My problem (in a get good kind of way) is that I try to push the button in time with when the attack hits, but you have to push it before the attack hits

Like i said, i manage to go by so far. Still I see that the window here is no joke and combos are sometimes quick and can be cancled by the enemy, thus you really need to be super on point. I played Sekiro and i love to parry in the souls games in general so i manage. But i can understand that this very tight window is seen as super hard for people that already struggled with Sekiro's very fair window. With the Charm in Sekiro you had a free block even if you were too early, here you take damage.

I agree with the other comments: An option to extend the window for people who want would be nice. So you can choose if you want a bit more window or not

I think the window is not the problem. The game doesn't tell you that you should not just dip the parry button but hold it. So you can start parry a bit earlier and get the most of the guards. It always depends on the parry animation.

They do later. You can get a P organ to do it, but because it forces a full stagger animation it is incredibly strong so it comes in the late game.

The parry window is perfect imo. Forced me to adapt instead of get coddled like with how forgiving sekiros spam deflect was.

If they want to sell some DLCs (at least 1 has already been discovered so it is most likely already in production) they better make this parry window bigger because they won't get much money from the tryhards part of the community.
