A lot of gamers giving wrong message for developers
If you giving a positive review for this game and dont see bigger picture how broken some gameplay mechanics are then you sending wrong message for the future. This perfect parry window is totally bs and it completely ruins full experience. But why do you care right? Heck just look how many people beat the game and saw the last boss lol. Whats that you say only less than 10%...

So, you are saying the game is too hard?

What broken gameplay mechanics you are talking about? I'm confused because Perfect guard works just fine. Some bosses are harder to perfect guard, some are easier. You are not supposed to perfect guard or just guard everything, there is still a dodge to be used. Some bosses actually require you to dodge otherwise you are making the game harder for yourself.

How dare some one enjoy and beat the game and not have the same issues I or others had and actually enjoyed the game so much they left a positive review. It is immoral for those people to leave good reviews. AMIRITE?

Have yet to encounter anything broken. Though on your comment note:
You do realize that the game gives you at least 4 different ways to parry/guard against a hit + a dodge. If you cant utilize those 5 options properly then its not the game....its you.

This is indeed a hard game. The fact that you may be good at it, doesn't mean it isn't. But if a person enjoy a game, I see no problem in complementing the developers. I'm about to quit the game due to difficulty, but that doesn't mean I consider the game to be bad. Also, yes, some gameplay mechanics are not perfect, but again, maybe it is not perfect because it doesn't do what you want, not because it's actually broken.. don't you think?

Its useless talking to them they just want invincibility on everything, any game or situation that causes them to think they call it broken.

"If you are sending any message other than the one *I* want sent, you're doing it wrong! If you were thinking for yourself, you'd think like me!"

I swear people don't listen to themselves when they speak.

yes its way to short...and the game relies on it. Very frustrating. Nearly given up on the game.

I reinstalled Sekiro, a game I ended up quitting on the final boss, and it feels like easy mode after reaching part 10 of Lies of P. The difficulty of these games has ramped up significantly in the last few years due to the positive feedback given to extremely difficult games (ego boost for insecure folks). People have forgotten what a fair game feels like. I encourage people to go back and play Sekiro again, other than that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ogre, Sekiro is challenging but fair, you always know what you did wrong, and if you die you know it was a skill issue not a problem with the game. In Lies of P the bosses are honestly just not fun to fight, and while some people aren't having a hard time, the boss achievement percentages show that the vast majority of players aren't making it past part 2, that is wild attrition for a game people spent 60-70 bucks on.

So our positive reviews further guarantees that we will keep seeing more and more difficult soulslike games from devs?

sign me up.

Of course Sekiro is easy mode. Sekiro is probably the easiest of the from software game. Lies of P punish you for not perfect guarding as you will be hit or you will take guard damage. Sekiro just damage your postures and you can deflect while in parry mode, which is not something you can do on Lies of P.

The game is not hard if you understand two basic things:

1) You just dodge using a quick weapon, so a sword, the acid spear, or the baton + electricity.

2) You equip a big sword with 70% damage reduction and you perfect guard or just guard.

If you perfect guard many times you break the boss weapons, making him deal less damage overall.

The P organ can be built around these 2 main playstyles. You can choose bonus that reduce the HP loss on guarding or boost the rally bonus from hitting enemy to restore your hp or you can just focus on bonus that enhance evasion, fable arts and damage with full HP.

People will NEVER criticize a souls-like, no matter how warranted it is. They'd rather spend hundreds of hours bashing their head against a brick wall fighting unfair bosses with a broken combat system so they can just barely sneak their way to the end and pretend it was easy.

Ain't nothing like tarring an entire community with an overly-broad brush to help cement an intelligent, well-considered argument.

If you just open your eyes, you'll see that I'm right. Criticism of difficult games is not tolerated.

So if I think like you, I won't be a conformist?

I still recommend this in spite of the issues I have with it, why? Because it's a fun game.
