... like they just a tiny bit cheated when they died to a boss for the first time and their 'souls' were convienently in a nice little pile outside the boss arena for them to pick up risk free?

lol i just died to first big boss, my ergo was in a pile outside the arena and i shouted 'no wayyyyyyyy this feels like cheating! lolol'

a very welcome little tweak to the souls formula :) definitely does eliminate the 'risk' factor of boss fights though.

Yeah it's a nice tweak from them. Love From but that soul pile being inside somewhere you died in the boss room is honestly frustrating and tedious sometime.
Throwables is also pretty useful if not pretty overpowered so that's a nice change.

It was stupid ignoring the boss for seconds just to get your Souls/Runes back and opening yourself to free damage.

I didn't feel that way at all. I just felt relieved not to have this annoying glowing distraction sitting on the ground while I'm trying not to get my face smashed. I always found it so annoying in the FS games... you could have literally 0 souls when you die yet you still have this big glowing thing in the middle of the boss room that I feel compelled to pick up anyway just so I don't have to keep looking at it.

I think that is to stop you from abusing fable arts, once dying to a boss you could travel back to training room fill your fable bar for free then go into boss room with basically two full fable attacks at your disposal,add a buff and you could drain a bosses health bar by 70% in about 30 seconds.

I like the change. It's a nice quality of life fix. Just makes it easier to grab souls without worrying about getting them in boss room.
