Better: In previous soulslikes the slightest movement of my mouse would make me switch targets. LOOKING AT YOU NIOH 1. It takes a genuine flick of the mouse to switch targets in the game.
Worse: game doesn't support multikey keybinds. Not an awful thing in the game really since it doesnt rely on too many keybinds.
Unchanged: sprint and dodge still on same keybind.
Controls are fine imo.
Considering that ER has non-rebindable map key (g) in the middle of the keyboard, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up any attempts to move outside of wasd block - I'd say both games feel similar. LoP has WASD hardcoded (also C and MWheel). If you use WASD you will manage, if not better have rebindable [gaming] keyboard. Of course forget anything going beyond barebone port (like focusless target lock mode or non-hardcoded menu/inventory keys).
