If you really think that you have no idea how to make good weapons....i suggest you just play something else.
With the right items any weapon can have elemental damage.
The thing is - it's a bit more like Bloodborne using Arcane, but there isn't as many opportunities for it to be as silly. So like - the Coil handle adds the actual Advanced scaling (otherwise the mace head on most other weapons won't scale at all off of it in the stats window).
Instead - you're more forced into using the Grindstones to add the elemental damage onto the weapons you use. There is also some that you get later that you equip onto your main grindstone, and it gives you 1 free elemental imbument per Stargazer visit (more later).
Hence - it is almost more effective per-say, to leverage the power of boss weapons and then using the elemental stone to get the boost when you need it most (like boss fights) as opposed to using the general elemental weapons themselves. You can also add a "Handle" to make the boss weapons scale off of Advance, so that will also help get good value.
I know that you can use a crank on another handle to compensate for Advance, except that it's very weak, but I don't think I'll do that.
You can get element damage by attaching the blade to another handle, but it doesn't have to be an Advance build.
Grinders probably don't need Advance either.
Even worse, none of the boss's weapons have element damage.
I'm using Google Translate.
It may not be conveyed correctly.
Advance with other stats yes. My favored weapon as a B/B scailing with Mobility and Advance and it's working pretty darn well so far.
