I've used Frozen Feast and Coil Mjolnir handle + Puppet Axe head through a lot of my runs through the game. I plan to try out a lot of other combos as well in further playthroughs.
I used holy sword of the ark for a super long time as its basically 2 weapons in one, hard to give up the comfort of that long reaching stab it has....
There is but i do not know if it will effect that weapon or not, the base duration is around 5 seconds btw.
Did a quick test, with the organ its roughly 8 seconds if you don't hit anything to continue the effect with the organ upgrades I have for duration,
Very good to know, seems worth it to me, as so many time i would lose the buff mid swing and have to re build it up...
Then I actually tried it and found all those preconceptions to be absolutely correct.
I just hadn't expected the downright comical damage and stagger ability on this puppy when upgraded to +5. Most regular enemies can be 1shot with a running strong, tougher enemies will be staggered long enough for a follow-up strike to either finish them off or poise break them and any slower boss just completely melts in the face of this ugly slab of rock.
I even managed to beat Laxasia in 1 go, which I've never managed to do in LoP before. The stagger and poise damage was just too much for her to handle and I think each phase took perhaps 6-8 hits to clear.
Granted, it's not the most exciting of playstyles and it does underperform vs faster enemies. I had a fairly tough time beating the 2nd Black Rabbit fight as well as the Walker of Illusions as they were simply too aggressive and kept countering me, but it's still way more viable as a main weapon than I originally believed.
This was a comical playthrough.
It is beautiful on the inside.
