*SPOILER* The story of the blue butterfly - achievement

According to multiple sites you are supposed to free Sophia from her torment and decline Geppetto's question at the end. After that there should be a letter on Geppetto's table in his studies but it is not showing up for me. Can somebody help me with this?

You've beaten the final boss, right? It only shows up after you beat the game and decline to proceed to NG+.

I thought that letter is only available if you accepted?

So you gave her peace, told Geppetto to get bent, fought the final boss, and you stayed in that game right? You didn't go to NG+? It should be on his desk. Unsure if it has any humanity or lie requirements behind it, didn't think it did.

You definitely don't. I just finished the game last night, refused, and the letter was there after I beat the final boss.

If you give him your heart you get HIS letter at the end, not the blue butterfly.

I did not go into NG+ and it is still not ther that is why I am so confused

Did you raise your humanity to max level and get the golden lie staff from the portrait? I read that this is a requirement.

That could be an issue if that really is a requirement. Is there a way to boost my humanity after the story or do I need to go through the game again?

You can try to listen to the gramophone if you have new music, don't think it will increase it that much.

Oh that's 100% it, the letter would make zero sense to receive if you don't get the Rise of P ending which is lying like 95% of the time.

...man i'm kinda tilted there was an achievement to get if you didn't start ng+, i'm assuming there's no way to get this achievement if you've started ng+ besides beating the game again AND getting the true ending again right
