Earliest possible light roll (stats and gear)
After doing some messing around with stats and gear, using the lightest possible equipment, weapon and the Carrier's Amulet I found that the lowest stat investment you need to have Light burden status is around 22 Capacity.
To make this work I have to use the Salamander Dagger or the Wintry Rapier, neither of which suit my build so I'll need to pump Capacity in order to be able to maintain light rolls and use better gear.
I wanted to see if other people find the stat investment worth it for the extra speed/space covered when rolling. I haven't done any detailed analysis on the exact improvement you get but if anyone else has any information on that it would be good to see.
Given that perfect parries are very much the focus of the game the utility of dodge rolling is limited, but as someone who always prefers to dodge roll in Souls games I do enjoy having the option.

You are correct. Some have pushed to 24+amulet, if you like to carry a giant weapon. But the most rewarding thing about light weight is the stamina recover, I guess. You can save an amulet slot skipping the stamina recovery ring and use other thing that fits the build instead.

I think so - been using the Elec Mace thing (handle it comes with tuned toward elemental dmg, and +6 "blade"), and also ended up finally kicking the stat up to 22 yesterday. My thing is - I want light rolls, but also want to use the best "armor", so I also went for the 3rd amulet slot and added the weight cap one. Other two are the "more damage to puppets" and "more health", but only because I haven't bothered to change them since I dropped them in (but I have a bunch).

When I tried going heavy for a bit with that boss greatsword - it just was not as effective for my playstyle (though it deals enough damage I leveled it as a backup weapon).

Boss amulets are heavy, otherwise I was sorta hopping to get the perk for more Fable Art bars to use that amulet, but that will need to wait as with 1 weapon, the "armor", and 3 amulets I am at like 49%.

Am also a clown however - so I still have the base stamina from picking the DEX class lol (think 12); at Puppet King though so doing something right.

I think it could be lower in NG++ (too lazy to check it myself). Normally slightly heavy is at at least 70% so I'm sure NG++ has a different limit for light burden https://imgur.com/fatxyY6

Honestly I didn't even notice a difference in stamina regen rate with light equip load, good to know but I'll still use the amulet. Faster recovery is never a bad thing and most of the amulets seem situationally useful.

I guess I'm a clown too, I haven't touched stamina since the start of the game, never felt the need to. If anything I feel like I could have less stamina and still get the job done, I'm up to the last level in the game too.

Can confirm slightly heavy status is at 70% weight capacity in NG, be super interesting to see if these values change in NG+
