The real struggle will come when you reach the boss. Mad Clown will look like a joke when you face that boss.

1. Try to time a right side (your right) dodge for the clown punch, then close the gap for a hit on him. Only perfect guard if you definitely can't make the dodge. Just judge by the clown's body position.
2. His punch combo is a pain, but perfect guard all of them (or try to) and remember the final hit comes slower. He will then do an uppercut, but if you dodge to your left, it'll miss you and you have enough time for a charge attack.
3. Throwables absolutely trash his hp.

seems fun though
Just don't use anything consumable until you get him down that far. And I also used puppet string + some kiting to clear out all other enemies there first for plenty of area.
A hard fight, but didn't feel unfair at all. Some of his attacks are very hard to read, but I found that his giant comedic boxing glove ranged attack and spinning attack are easy to perfect guard and then used that to break his posture multiple times, running away from his more conventional boxing combos as they're hard to predict. The Bellyflop attack can also be dodged around for a free punish.
All in all a really cool fight, but much more manageable if you activate the stargazer behind him instead of doing the looooong dangerous run-up through the burning alley.
