Black Rabbit Bossfight Helping Hands ?

Hi there,
so i stuck at the black rabbit boss fight. at the beginning of the area you found the two stalkers red fox and black cat (which you saw before in the factory). if you talk to them you can say that you will help them fight against the black rabbits, they follow you some meters, stay behind and arrive again just before the boss room. they talk to you but there is no option to get a dialogue or something that they will follow you now in the fight.
I died the first time in the fight, run again to the boss room and i only hear the black cat dude saying something about "oh you dont want our help, okay then bye" but i dont saw them somewhere.
so is there a option beside the spectre these 2 will follow you into the fight against the black rabbits (so its a 4vs 4) or is it just a bug or a bait and they never would join you ?

But if there WAS an option to talk to them so they would fight with you, did i destroy my option they help me because i walked alone to the room (i dont saw them anywhere Q.Q) ??

Honestly - I don't think so.

At first I also agreed to help them, but was weary because the note you find shortly before. Once you agree, I also noted Cat says something like "Can you believe this! We found someone stupid enough to help!" and it ruffled my feathers a little (did consider fighting them there but missed at the last second if you could xD).

Basically - think their role is the kids who use Pinocchio in the tales to get what they want, while he has to do everything alone or whatever. Like - I even tried to lock onto them and stuff right before the boss and didn't seem to be able to interact.

Gemini also said something on my second pass through after dying the first time along the lines of "Where did they go!? Can you believe them; they promised to help us!" basically frustrated they lied to us.

Bring puppet string for this fight, helps a lot with the extra bs

Focus on perfect block the big guy until u break his weapon before the extra bs come down... when they come, focus on the extra seperate them with puppet string... kill the extra then focus to the big guy until the next extra come... repeat... and the extra are easy to backstab... so yea... dont give up and good luck

IIRC, they help for a tiny bit then make up some excuse like they're too tired or a leg cramp or something. You meet them again WAY later in the game, and there's some dialogue options to avoid fights because of you helping them (I think you give them a golden fruit each). If not, I think the fights might be required.
