Major FPS Drops and Stuttering (Need Help Please)
I honestly don't know what to do in order to get this game to be stable. It was a solid 140+ fps in chapter 1, the moment I hit chapter 2 and beyond my fps just tanks. Frame pacing goes crazy and my fps goes down to 40-50.

PC Specs:
GPU: Rtx 3060ti
Ram: 32gb 3600mhz (Dual channel 16gb 2x)
CPU: R5 3600XT
OS: Windows 10
Nvidia Driver: 537.34 latest driver for Lies of P

I have tried the following to no avail:
- Disable Fullscreen Optimization
- Run as admin
- Disable GPU Schedule Acceleration (Have tried enabled as well)
- Game Mode enabled
- Rebar enabled
- Capping FPS (Doesn't help at all since frame pacing goes crazy)

Would really appreciate some help for this since I really love the game and would like to enjoy the game without issues on fps.

I would also appreciate any advice for PC part upgrades as i'm not sure if my PC is up to par to run this game.

This is UE game, so, u have to run it on ssd, set maximum shader cache in nvidia panel to 10gb, page file auto on OC main drive only.

Sadly all of which are already done :(
I highly appreciate you taking the time to reply though!

- I'm using an nvme ssd to run the game, this is a seperate ssd from my main OS drive
- Shader Cache already 10gb
- Page File for main drive is already on auto (System Managed)

Would you perhaps have any other suggestions?

Can u record gameplay with frame time graph ?

And I saw u played another UE game, so, did u have any stuttering in descendants?

Not stuttering now just low fps prolly due to my gpu in descendants

And sure thing just give me a moment to record

I've got a 3070 and its running great so I don't think you'd need to upgrade anything.

Since you were running through random settings I'll put in a query about your Fclock bios setting. It should be at 1800 (half ram speed) to match your cpu's infinity fabric with your ram speed.

Here's the recording with the awful frametime

Yeah, if u running at 3600+mhz, u have to set infinity to half of ur frequency, but I don’t think this is his problem

This is probably cpu issue, u can try to cap your fps to 60 and turn on v sync

Sadly have tried this and I still get those awful frametimes with slowdowns for some reason

I will try the infinity fabric thing you mentioned since I never set that in the bios

U have to disable Xbox dvr too, u can also try to play with HPET, on some systems it working

Hmmm by any chance could my cpu issues be because I overclocked my cpu? I never crashed or anything since I properly undervolted it and overclocked the ghz, but I never changed anything in the bios

Try to save this bios profile, then back to default with xmp, if results will be worse, back it again to your profile with OC.

Your usage does look like your gpu is getting bottlenecked by something. Could be a setting somewhere or could be cpu.

I'd try running it stock and see what you get.

Tried running stock and everything just performed worse, at least now I know my overclock settings are stable
