is it worth it to be not "slightly heavy"?
is it worth it to level up capacity a lot to not get slightly heavy?

I see. I'm currently at level 29 capacity lol, coz I'm trying to avoid being slightly heavy but thinking if I should just respec and just put it to damage or HP stats instead

Yeah I'm about 60% done I think and I've been on slightly heavy for majority of my play time

I just have enough stats in cap so I'm not heavy
i havent even noticed a difference in i-frames when i go to full heavy. dodge distance is slightly less, and fatrolling is a thing, but i-frames dont seem to be effected.

I'm only leveling up the capacity for the resistance bonuses since I've already hit soft caps for Vigor and Stam, that and also I still haven't figured out what weapon I want to marry myself, lol. Been playing with just +1 weapons LOL and base stats for the weapons

At slightly heavy it seems like you take a hit to your stamina regen. Given how slow stamina regen is in general it's a bit of a hassle. So if you're going slightly heavy make sure your stamina management is good or you'll be a sitting duck for bosses retaliating after your combo, and regular blocking won't last long if your stamina's low.

fire knife, and the hardest hitting slow weapon you have access to. the boss weapons are pretty good for the most part, but really everything is pretty much the same in regards to damage output in a weapon category, so whatever floats your boat.
