You can go mid-high or even more with no stuttering for sure.
Game's performance is awesome.
Get in the game, adjust some settings. See what is the most stable.
and it has ~ 60fps average
So yeha when you will get 60fps on everything max settings in WQHD
you for sure can run this game decent on a 1080 if you make some adjustments
yeha maybe she reaches 80fps in some situations indoor..... but definitely not everywhere 80+
with a GTX 1080 and true max settings on 3440x1440 (No FSR, rest all max)
I just tested again with my 2080TI Phoenix GS that is with DLSS Quality about 2x the speed of a 1080GTX (that has no DLSS in feature list).
And i was owner of a massivly overclocked 1080 Golden Sample before so i know about the speed difference
And the fps depends extremly on the environment.
Some scenes i have 152fps (Like indoor act 7 Lorenzini Arcades)
Some scenes i have 125 fps..... mainly big open spaces with lots of lightning. LIke the main hub when i watch from an angle where you see most of the area.
So you do definitely not have constant 80+ fps with a GTX1080 on 3440x1440 native , max settings.
Its Unreal Engine 4 that has been optimised for 9 years now.
Has nothing to do with the new games that have Unreal Engine 5 with really high hardware requirements.
im playing it on rtx3070 on a 1440p ultrawide monitor, fps is very stable with everything maxed out (DLSS on), i get 100~144 fps as i turned on the vsync.
its not a very demanding game.
Not very demanding but it requires upscaling to run well at all.
So hardware requirements are "moderate"
just for comparison:
my setup: i5 9400f , 32GB 3200, 2080TI OC , SSD
Remnant 2, WQHD, DLSS , high settings -> 72-82fps
Lies of P , WQHD , DLSS , max settings -> 125-152fps
Lies of P , WQHD , native, max settings -> 106-133fps
Now a GTX 1080 without DLSS is half my speed
so you would get ~ 53-65 fps on max settings WQHD native with a GTX 1080
set some settings to medium or high instead of "best" and yu will be fine
Unreal 5 Engine games are too much for a GTX 1080... thats why i bought a used 2080TI.
Unreal 4 Engines are fine !
On my current setup (1440p/Ultra) with a 7900xt/13700k, I get locked 120fps...I tried playing unlocked with my refresh being 165HZ and even that can be achieved lol.
