How to view your current mission? (Xbox version)

A few days ago I made it to where I first meet Geppetto. Haven't been able to play for a few days since now I get back on the game and I have no idea where to go. I'm at the Stargazer right outside of City Hall facing the bridge. How do I view my current mission?

The Select/Back button on my Xbox doesn't do anything even though the controller menu says it Instantly Checks Details.

After beating the Donkey boss.

There isn't a current mission waypoint or nothing like that, because the game is just moving forward. The game is about moving foward, it's linear structure is even shown how each Stargazer in the teleport screen is separated in chapters, if you are lost just teleport to the last one and keep going from there. You'll find a boss for the area and after that the next chapter. There are several QoL in the UI, so you don't miss any story progression, like when a character wants to talk to you, their faces appear on the Stargazer-Teleport menu.
