How popular was Steel Rising? I have never heard anyone talk about this before a couple days ago.

I mean no offense but when I search for Steel Rising it looks a bit like a game that game-dev students would make for a final exam.
Solely based on that, my guess is that Lies of P will be better yeah :b

steelrising was alright but the pc optimization was garbage

either way Lies of P is better in every single way

Steel Rising was surprisingly true to Dark Souls but yeah optimization and some environments felt empty, still a very fun game.

SR was very enjoyable gameplay wise. It wasnt too challenging and not too easy and tried to remain as Dark Souls-like as possible. The robotic movement made the dodging very natural and believeable.
The only downsides were perfomance, story, the french names and the same looking faces which were at some point too much to bare for me to care as it had nothing to spare and the logic wasnt on pair like its inspirational Soulsgame from "From Software".

If P is similar but with better enviroment and better performance, I personally will enjoy it a lot.

I guess you didn't beat the game before grenades got nerfed huh xd easy mode beyond your wildest dreams it was lol.

Lies of p is alot better in all ways, better environments, enemies, bosses are a ton better, you can combine weapons to create new ones here and customize the puppet with new abilities in his swappable parts system. Music is kick ass too and its gonna most seemly be alot longer than steelrising too. I enjoyed steel but Lies of p is the game bloodborne successor we been waiting for I just hope it's moddable

Not just the grenades but the ranged frost attack, you could literally chain stun bosses to death, all of them except one which had immunity (think it was called the Alchemist?). Even the last boss and the "secret side boss" could be frost stunned to death. Steel Rising is by a large margin the easiest "soulslike" game out there.

Steel Rising was a 5/10 game at BEST and that's even before you talk about how terrible it ran.

Steelrising is playable by those that cant quite handle souls level difficulty, so its significantly better if difficulty is an issue.

Literally would stun lock every enemy and most bosses with Halbert charges. I basically forced myself not to use it because it was that busted.

You mean any form of challenge? From soft aren't the only devs that make challenging games and you still can't move on from this or any difficult game can you?

all souls games are playable by anyone unless some disability stops them

They are filled with things that make them extremely easy, especially DS1 and Elden Ring.

I was stomping bosses in ER using summons and it's not because of skill.

I can tell you haven't played Steel Rising and I think you heavily underestimate how easy it was for being advertised as a "soulslike".

You could >literally< chain stun every boss in the game barring 1 to death at range.

Imagine the Margit Shackle, but it's reusable and it works on everything.

Since I never followed steel rising I’m not sure it advertised itself as a soulslike.

So you are making a call because you can't find the demo for this?
