Cuz it's outdated. It's not gonna be a fair representation. They've changed a good bit based on the closed door feedback.
Bit of an overreaction since the demo was available a full two months longer than was initially planned...
The demo is DRM-free, just run it directly from LOP-Win64-Shipping.exe.
I want to know if the price is justified.
The only thing about is that the demo has stay up to date after every normal update the main game gets. So it would cost them extra maintenance to keep a demo up indefinitely.
The reason why this specific demo is gone even though the game isn't out yet is because the game has already been tweaked based on user feedback. So the demo was already outdated and didn't showcase the game they were selling anymore.
They kept the demo up because people were enjoying it and they wanted to thank people for the awards they got.
My guess is that they are afraid of people showing demo gameplay 2 weeks before release that may scare off potential buyers. Apparently the dodge mechanics and block windows were controversial.
They extended the time....
Now it is close to release and the demo was outdated.
