I dunno that there was anything ever conclusive about that. Reports were all over the place. Everyone seemed to be different. lol
To answer OP's question I'll probably be preordering it.
I was considering Gamepass for budgetary reasons but since I KNOW I'll want to keep this one and it's the only reason I'd be getting gamepass anyway, it didn't make sense to spend 45 bucks for 3 months or something and then buy it for 60. hahaha
It was relatively simple to test. I tested it at 60, 120, and 200 fps and the difference was glaringly obvious. I was actually very surprised it was overlooked. Unfortunately, the demo is no longer available so I can't test it again.
I'm not talking about the dodge mechanic, if that's what you're referring to? But that was probably related to the frame rate scaling as well. Either way I hope it's been fixed.
I already have game pass, but I agree it isn't worth it just for this game. And game pass doesn't have early access.
