Setting the game at 30fps solves most of the dodging issues
Animations are capped for 30fps as I understand it. I saw someone commenting on it and wanted to try for myself, turns out its true. 100% a bug (dodge still needs tweaking but its nowhere near as bad)

It is not a bug, it is a bad programming practice where they tie gamesystems to framerate. Noob mistake, literally. Easy fix, might be smart to update the demo asap or it will leave bad impressions with people.

I don't really realize if that made a difference but, after over 20-30 tries (more even maybe) on uncapped framerate, (even thought Nvidia experience told me my game was running on 60fps on uncapped) I capped my framerate to 30 and 2-tried the Watchmen.

I have the impression I dodged more attacks but I can't say for the parry.

Such a shame though, the game seems really good. Hope it gets fixed.

There is no difference.

Dodge and parry work fine on any FPS. 144 and 30 are literally the same here in terms of gameplay.

Wow thanks, found it way easier at 30 fps

I finished the demo with no issues capped at 120 fps.

And I finished it with no frame cap at all. Doesn't mean there isn't a problem. Why are you in every thread acting like everyone is wrong for pointing out issues? There's an obvious bug and people are pointing it out. Congratulations that it didn't bother you but I'm sure the devs would rather know if something is causing people frustration than be reassured that nothing is wrong and the game is perfect actually.

Cuz its a non issue, you are just whining about a game mechanic instead of learning how it works.

I played with both 30 fps and 144 fps, its much easier on 30 as it is more responsive, yes ofc i can learn to play with delay and such but thats not how its supposed to be, you are very cool for completing the game without this fix but stop acting like people are bad at the game for adjusting their settings to play easier

It simply cant be more responsive at 30 fps as the frametimes are way higher at around 30 ms.

I mean from literally trying it i can say that it works, im not gonna act like i know why but it feels way less clunky when playing at 30 fps and as you can see alot of people would agree with me so if anything is a non issue its you posting on every damn post abt the dodging abt how bad they are and good you are

how is any technical bug a non-issue? i'm of course assuming here that the bug actually exists, but certain mechanics straying from their intended function due to current fps is not a non-issue. there's a difference between overcoming an intended difficulty and overcoming a bug that is supposedly reducing the active frame counts of dodge invulnerability and deflect window. and if this bug does indeed exist in those cases, then it certainly exists elsewhere too, since much of the game was probably coded in a similar respect

all that said, i'm doing my second playthrough on 60fps compared to 120fps the first time. it does feel easier but, obviously i've gotten better... really hard to say either way, hopefully someone more experienced than me does some in-depth testing
