Honestly yeah, in from games the reason you cant is cause there is co-op and pvp but here? I don't think there is a good reason for having no pause screen that pauses everything I hope the devlopers do consider adding it before launch or if that is not possible at least adding it in post launch as a part of an update

Yeah. If there's no multiplayer component planned (and as far as I know, there isn't) then having no pause is just cargo-culting the way it was in the Souls games. The reasons for it in those game are tied to multiplayer that's not here, so why do it?

There was a pause in Sekiro because it's a single player game. In ds and elden there is online, so the game cannot be paused.

It's very simple, you're not supposed to be able to take breaks mid combat. That would allow you to catch your breath so to speak, and make plans, but the games work best when you have to face your circumstances in the moment
