I'd like an option to remove the automatic camera yaw that's linked to the character's movement. That is, currently in the demo, the player's input command for moving the character to the right of the screen will also simultaneously cause the camera to yaw clockwise, and the player's input command for moving the character to the left of the screen will cause the camera to yaw counter-clockwise.
Slider for Photopollution Opacity
As a somewhat unrelated topic to camera, I'd like to an option to for reducing/removing photopollution (excessive particle effects, which overlay on top of the visual cues of the enemies' actions like the stupid Final Fantasy XVI and many other MMORPGs).
Slider for Distance between Camera and Character
If you don't wanna encourage ppl to hack the FoV via 3rd-party programs, then please add an FoV slider in the game.
Better yet, implement a slider for adjusting the distance between the camera and the character (like the feature found in many other MMORPGs), which does not cause fish-eye effect (result of high FoV value).
Toggle for Delay of the Following Camera
I'd like an option to remove the delay of the camera that follows the character. That is, as soon as the character moves, the camera should immediate follow the character. In other words, the distance between the camera and the character should remain constant. Although the delay in this demo is shorter compared to other Fromsoft's titles, the increased distance between the camera and the character as a result of such a delay is still noticeable when the character sprints
Many Thanks
Finally, I thank the devs for not incorporating the stupid auto FoV changes when the character state switches to sprinting and when character slows down out of the sprinting state (i.e. this demo has a good thing - constant FoV), which is a nauseating motion-sickness feature in many other games that causes the camera FoV to repeat the cyclical pattern of increasing and decreasing when the character sprints and then stops sprinting (i.e. cyclical distortion of the 3D scene). I also thank the devs for the option of being able to disable camera shake, which is another source of motion sickness found in many action games.
I'm, in fact, a controller player; but I have a uniquely dexterous way of using a controller that allows me to "play the movie": constant cinematic rotation of the camera, even in combat situations.
I like to play - especially 3rd person games - FULLY PANORAMIC, capitalizing off of the ability to choose dynamic angles in order to enjoy immersive visuals. A camera that FORCES you to look in a particular direction is liken unto being involuntarily forced to turn your head in a certain direction whenever you move - very VERY untenable.
Please Devs, give the option to experienced players to TURN OFF CAMERA AUTO-CENTERING.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This wasn't fixed for launch, nor did they add an option to disable auto-follow.
It made me motion sick halfway to the first boss. Don't want to continue playing.
I don't have much hope they'll fix this though. At any rate, please join me in contacting them about it: lop_support@neowiz.com
I have it on game pass and haven't played it since launch but last I played it the auto centering was only affecting controllers. No issues with m+kb.
