So what i now understand this is one of those souls like games without any character creation or? Only playable character is the dude in the trailer? Can someone confirm since this is a deal for me when buying souls like games.

There is no character customization, no, aside from unlockable outfits. Think of this less like Dark Souls, and more like Sekiro.

You can just play as Pinocchio, but you can upgrade your stats however you want. More like Bloodborne than Sekiro.

And you can choose 3 types of styles (weapons) at the begining.

You should play the demo, though. If it's still downloadable.

Thanks for clearing up some more info, appreciated. I already made up my mind and don't want to waste my money on this game. No worries, i'll wait for some other games to come around and you can enjoy this one!

You have to play as Timothée Chalamet lookalike. Its like the game steel rising in that you're like an android puppet type thing, and due to the narrative character creation wouldn't really make sense.

Alright, played that steel rising back when it came out and didn't finish it since it got boring in my opinion. I understand that for it's narrative the character creation can't work and it's a shame. Welp can't be for everyone, you still have fun with it!

Yes in most mechanical respects the game is mimicking Bloodborne (although it *does* have Sekiro's overemphasis on parrying).

The question wasn't about mechanics though, it was about the playable character. And much like in Sekiro, where you play as Sekiro, in Lies of P you play as P(inocchio) rather than some nameless blank slate.

The fact that you can't play a game because the character is a feminine male means that you battle with your own masculinity/sexuality. I'm an openly gay male and I am not trying to hide that whatsoever, yet I have no problem playing a game where I have to be some manly man like Witcher 3 or even where I have to be a girl like, I don't like, PoE/Last Epoch that only have females for necromancers.

Yet since you can't play a character that has traits that you try to portray yourself as, it makes you insecure so you won't even get the game. Kinda petty and just sad.

I don't know what kind of mental problems you have but how hard is it for you to read clearly in the original message that i never criticize this game's main character look yet still you had to pull your own conclusions out of nowhere. You people literally fight your imaginary fights. This question was never about hate or discrimination.
