yea it has never once ever been random lol. this was figured out early on but i guess you missed the memo so here are some tips
firstly use paldex.io to find out what you need to breed what pal
keep pals with no passive skills: this is good for breeding new pals with little work for example i took a grizzbolt and a chikipi to make a digtoise with the passives workslave, serious, artisan and lucky all these passives give work speed and got a perfect mining digtoise in just one batch of 21 eggs (a pen can hold 20 eggs and if the bar is full you'll get an extra after the first pickup) and then i put that digtoise with a jormuntide that had no passives and got an anubis with all 4 same passives as the digtoise with just one batch of eggs so with just two batchs i actually got a perfect mining pal and i got two perfect crafting anubis as they both need workspeed and i used paldex to figure out how to get what i wanted with what i had
there is a hidden stat called IV and it makes pals have different hp, attack and defence numbers even if they are the same pal at the same level so if you want the best stats look it up on youtube because its a lot to explain.
the passives you care about are artisan, workslave, lucky and serious for any pal that stays at your base and does a job with a loading bar like crafting items or watering plants
for combat you want legend, muscle head, ferocious, any passive that says lord or emperor in the name and hooligan/lucky and i'll explain. if a pal only has one element type do legend, muscle, ferocious, and the element passive from the lord or emperor skills so if its a water type you will use lord of the sea passive but if its an ice you'll use ice emperor instead with the other 3 ones i mentioned not if it has two types like jormuntide its better to do legend, muscle head, ferocious and hooligan or lucky as hooligan and lucky give the same 15% damage buff the reason this is better is how the math works out and putting on two lord skills is bad
if you have pals with any of the skills i mentioned above but don't have any other skills keep them for breeding until you have a bunch of maxed out ones you can pick from this way you have more parent pals to pick from
♥♥♥♥ you are right i did forget that though i usually do legend, muscle, lord/emperor/ferocious and swift as i like to beable to fight with them but if you want a mount for speed only do what this guy said
Its never been random, breeding two pals 50 times will produce 50 of the same pals
that was already said twice bud lol
i was going to say id love to see that vid because maybe im actually wrong but i remember people figuring stuff out about breeding like 2ish weeks after the game came out but memory is funny like that and if i was wrong id like to know as its good for people to keep eachother in check
